Description of the Lower House

The Lower House has two bedrooms and two baths, a living area, pictured here, that opens on to the porch and pool.  The Lower House also features a spacious outdoor living area, seen just beyond the doors above. The living area opens onto the pool and bay on one side; the patio and fountain on the other side.  This space is filled with Dave's original oil paintings as well as art that we have collected during our travels in Mexico, including carvings, pottery and textiles.  One of our special pieces is a a life-sized wooden statue of Coyolxauhqui, the aztec goddess of the moon, carved by renowned Mexican artist Aturo Macias. Macias  won an award for his sculpture at the Florence International Biennale of Contemporary Art.winner of the Prix de Rome in 2001. He passed away in 2011 and we are very proud to have one of his works.

Lower House small bedroom features twin beds,  large windows on two sides that open on to the patio, a ceiling fan, seating area and en suite bathroom.

The Master bedroom opens onto the living area and the outdoor covered patio. A large en-suite bathroom leads directly off the bedroom. Decorated with hand-loomed linens and original oils, this room can be shuttered at night if youprefer to sleep with A/C. Or, leave the windows open and turn on the ceiling fan and be rocked to sleep by the sound of the waves.

This is how close the beach is...pictured is our patio and the south end of La Ropa Beach immediately below. The beach extends a mile around the crescent of they Bay...we love to do early morning and sunset beach walks.
